Description

EIP-7281, also known as xERC20, offers an extension to the ERC-20 token standard to address issues related to token sovereignty, fungibility, and cross-domain security. The proposal empowers token issuers by placing token ownership control in their hands, letting them choose and modify bridge support. This system limits risks associated with bridge vulnerabilities, facilitating seamless bridge delisting if needed, without causing user disruptions.

EIP-7281 enhances the user experience and incentives around bridging.
